Are you a Thirsty Bear?

As summer arrives in Glacier you will notice little purple berries growing wild in the forests and mountainsides. These are Montana huckleberries, a treasured fruit popular with people and bears alike. The tart and sweet flavor of huckleberries also make for a delicious drink we call the “Thirsty Bear.”

Start by picking up a bottle of Glacier Distilling’s Bearproof Huckleberry Whiskey, made with real, hand-picked huckleberries. You can find Bearproof at our tasting room on your way to Glacier National Park or your nearby liquor store. Next gather a few more ingredients from the local market and follow the recipe below.

Make a Thirsty Bear!
