Where is Glacier Distilling located?
We’re located in Coram, Montana, just 7 miles from the west entrance of Glacier National Park. You’ll find us in a red barn right along Highway 2 — a perfect stop whether you're coming from the park or exploring the Flathead Valley.

Are you open year-round or only seasonally?
Our tasting room is open year-round, with extended hours during the summer season. !0AM to 8PM, 7 days a week from May 15th through October 15th and 12PM to 6PM, 7 days a week from October 16th-May 14th. Be sure to check our website or Google Business page for current hours before you visit.

Do I need a reservation?
No. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and our friendly crew is always ready to guide you through a tasting of our award-winning spirits.

Why is there a 2-ounce limit in your tasting room?
Montana state law limits distilleries to serving no more than 2 ounces of spirits per person per day. While that may seem small, it gives you just enough to sample and a great excuse to come back. Sales of spirit for off-premise consumption are limited to 4.5L per person per day.

What’s the most popular spirit you make?
Our best-seller is Bearproof — a huckleberry whiskey made with wild Montana huckleberries. It’s bold, slightly sweet, and uniquely representative of Glacier Country. In the whiskey category, Logan Pass American Single Malt is fast becoming a favorite alongside our flagship North Fork Rye Whiskey.

What makes Bearproof different from other huckleberry whiskeys?
Bearproof is Montana’s original huckleberry whiskey. It is made using real wild-foraged huckleberries, no artificial flavors or colors. It’s distilled, infused, and bottled right here in our Montana distillery.

Do you really use real wild huckleberries in your whiskey?
Yes! Huckleberries don’t grow commercially. All the huckleberries we use are sustainably wildcrafted by local foragers — it doesn’t get more authentic than that.

What’s the story behind Logan Pass Single Malt?
”American Single Malt” is a style of whiskey distilled from 100% barley. The style draws inspiration from Scotland and Ireland but emphasizes regional identity and creativity. Montana’s distilleries are uniquely positioned to take advantage of this category thanks to their access to high-quality barley and pristine mountain water. One of the pioneers of this movement is Glacier Distilling in Coram who teamed up with Flathead Lake Brewing in Bigfork to create Logan Pass, an American single malt distilled from 100% Montana barley and aged in ex-rye casks—mountain water, meadow honey, and toasted grain in a glass.

What kind of ingredients do you use in your spirits?
We use only real, high-quality ingredients: Montana-grown rye, wheat, and barley; locally grown Flathead cherries; wild-foraged huckleberries; apples from local orchards; and glacial spring water. No artificial flavoring or syrups.

Are your products made entirely in Montana?
Yes. Every spirit we produce is distilled, aged, and bottled at our distillery in Coram, Montana. We proudly source our ingredients locally whenever possible to reflect the true taste of Glacier Country.

How did Glacier Distilling get started?
We were founded during a snowstorm in the winter of 2009–10. A group of friends gathered around a fire near Glacier National Park realized they could do everything to survive a Montana winter — except make whiskey. So, naturally, they started a distillery. Glacier Distilling became official in 2010.

How many spirits do you make, and are any seasonal or limited release?
We’ve created over 35 unique spirits, including whiskeys, brandies, gins, and special blends. Many are available year-round, while others are seasonal or limited releases depending on harvest availability or barrel aging cycles.

Where can I buy your spirits near me or outside of Montana?
Our spirits are available across Montana in most liquor stores.  You can also shop online and have our spirits delivered directly to your door.

Can I bring kids to the tasting room?
Our tasting room is family-friendly, and kids are welcome as long as they are supervised. We want everyone—big or small—to enjoy their visit.

What is your pet policy for the tasting room?
Pets are not allowed inside the tasting room due to health regulations, but leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome on our outdoor patio. In accordance with the ADA, trained service animals may accompany guests indoors.

Are your spirits Gluten-Free?
Yes — distilled spirits such as whiskey, vodka, rum, and gin are generally considered gluten-free because the distillation process removes gluten proteins, even if the source grain contained gluten.

Do you serve food?
We don’t. However, we do offer snack packs that pair perfectly with our spirits and keep you fueled during your visit. Many guests also enjoy dining at local restaurants nearby before or after their tasting.

Can we book private tastings or tours?
At this time, private tastings and tours are not offered.
