Glacier Distilling Company/Josephine’s Bar + Kitchen are now hiring for the following seasonal positions for the 2019 summer season: Manager on Duty/BOH, Lead Line Cook, Bartenders, Line Cooks, and Prep/Dishwashers. Manager on Duty/BOH (full-time, seasonal)
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The MOD/BOH for Glacier Distilling Company and Josephine’s Bar + Kitchen will be responsible for backing up all FOH staff during hours of operation, receiving retail and monitoring inventory, and ensuring the tasting room is clean and stocked at all times. A further role of this position is to schedule tasting room and bar employees for both operations. In accordance with offsite events, this role will assist in planning/packing needs. This position reports to the General Manager.
• Back up all FOH staff during hours of operation
• Act as receiving agent for all delivered supplies to include unpacking and stocking
• Demonstrates a leadership approach in helping where needed with the bar and assisting customers 
• Ensure tasting room is clean and stocked
• Maintains menus and signage for both operations
• Assist with the planning and packing needs required to handle offsite events
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and practices 
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
• Knowledge and experience in distilling helpful
• Knowledge of bar and restaurant operations preferred
• Experience with various types of equipment within food and beverage industry preferred
• Must be able to work without direct supervision
• Must be able to communicate effectively with vendors, customers and staff
• Prior knowledge of craft spirits helpful
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Lead Line Cook (part to full-time (32-40 hours/week), seasonal)

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The lead line cook for Josephine's Bar + Kitchen will be responsible for line cooking duties and opening and closing duties in the absence of Chef/Manager. Line cook may also be responsible for creating specials and aiding Chef in ordering and inventory needs. Josephine's serves small plates, appetizers, sandwiches, salads, soups, daily specials, baked goods, and locally crafted libations. 
Casual environment sourcing regional ingredients for upscale menu creations with northwestern influences. 
• Perform opening and closing duties in absence of Chef
• Able to manage time and people
• Work with chef to ensure inventory needs are documented and communicated
• Able to observe improvement potential and communicate with staff/management
• Leads by example
• 3 or more years of line cooking experience
• Familiar with grill, expo, sauté, pantry, and light baking positions and dish and prep stations
• Able to place and receive food service orders
• Able to follow recipes
• Able to work in a small environment
• Able to keep workspace clean
• Works efficiently
• Keeps a professional attitude under pressure
• Upholds employee hygiene standards
• ServSafe certified
• Punctual
• Able to self manage and motivate
• Able to run line and manage kitchen in absence of Chef
• Works respectfully with FOH employees and guests
• Team oriented
• Able to ask for help/assistance, when needed
• Communicates well with others
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Able to work on feet for duration of shift
• Management experience

Bartender (part-time, seasonal)

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Bartenders for Glacier Distilling Company and Josephine’s Bar + Kitchen will be responsible for representing our company/brand and promoting our products to customers. This will be done in one-on-one interactions as well as in front of small groups. This position reports to the General Manager. Due to the fact that we require our employees to have firsthand knowledge of how our products taste, must be 21 or older to apply.
• Represent and promote Glacier Distilling brand and products
• Staff tasting room
• Make/serve cocktails, upholding company standards
• Pour tasting flights and explain products
• Give tours
• General janitorial duties
• Labeling/bottling
• Assist with production and processing when needed
• Operate cash register and credit card machine
Required Skills:
• Excellent customer services skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable with public speaking
• Able to work in a fast paced/stressful environment
• Knowledge or interest in the craft distilling industry
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift at least 50lbs
