We're happy to announce that we have some job openings that we're looking to fill for this coming spring/summer. There are two different positions to consider at The Whiskey Barn: Barback/Cashier, Bartender/Brand Ambassador, Line Cook and Food Prep/Dishwasher. Glacier Distilling Company is seeking a Bar Back/Cashier to help in our tasting room during the summer months (approximately mid June-late September). The main responsibility will be to ensure high quality customer service during peak busy times by assisting lead tasting room staff with greeting and cashing out guests, keeping all bar supplies and retail shelves fully stocked and organized, bussing tables, washing glassware and maintaining a clean work-space and guest seating areas.
Required Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist tasting room staff with daily operations
• Restock inventory
• Restock and organize retail
• Bus tables/wash glassware
• Operate P.O.S. cash register
• General cleaning and janitorial duties
• Excellent customer service skills and outgoing personality
• Able to work in a fast paced stressful environment
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift at least 50lbs
• General computer knowledge
• Self motivated and able to perform tasks unsupervised

Our bartenders represent our company and promote our products to customers. This will be done in one-on-one interactions as well as in front of small groups. The majority of the time, bartenders will be based out of the tasting room in Coram, MT. This is a seasonal job (approximately May 1st- October) and housing is NOT provided. We are looking for part-time and full-time candidates. Preference will be given to applicants with bartending and hospitality experience. Due to the fact that we require our employees to have firsthand knowledge of how our products taste, must be 21 or older to apply.
Required Duties and Responsibilities:
-Represent and promote our Brand and products
-Staff tasting room and provide excellent hospitality to our guests
-Pour tastings and explain products
-Restock retail Items
-General janitorial and cleaning
-Assist with special events as needed
-Assist with production and processing when needed
-Operate cash register and credit card machine
-Will be required to have in depth knowledge of all our products and must be able to articulate detailed info accurately to our guests
-Excellent customer services skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-At least 2 years experience working professionally in the food and beverage or hospitality industry
-Comfortable with public speaking
- Able to multitask in a fast paced/high volume, high quality service environment
-Knowledge or interest in the craft distilling industry
- Able to stand for long periods of time
-Able to lift at least 50lbs

Overview: Line cook for seasonal restaurant 32-40 hours per week. Serving small plates, appetizers, sandwiches, salads, soups, daily specials, baked goods, and locally crafted libations. Casual environment sourcing regional ingredients for upscale menu creations with northwestern influences. Position is responsible for line cooking duties and opening and closing duties in the absence of Chef/Manager.
Requirements: Two or more years of line cooking experience; managing experience a plus; familiar with grill, saute, pantry, expediting positions; able to follow recipes; work clean and efficiently; keep a professional attitude under pressure; uphold employee hygiene standards; ServSafe certified; punctual; able to self manage and motivate; aid Chef in inventory and ordering needs; able to run line and manage kitchen in absence of Chef; work respectfully with front of the house employees and guests; team oriented; able to ask for help and assistance when needed; able to communicate well with others; create daily specials as required.

Overview: Fast paced part-time position for seasonal restaurant. Position requires balancing multiple tasks in a small work environment. Excellent entry level kitchen position, and an opportunity to gain experience while learning on the job.
Job Tasks: On-the-job training of food preparation, dish washing, busing tables, running food to tables, operating a cash register, and filling in, as needed. You may have the opportunity to make tips during shifts.
Requirements: Restaurant experience is noted, but not required. Communication skills; able to act with respect toward coworkers and guests under pressure; keep a clean uniform and work space; attention to detail; willing to switch gears quickly and learn on the job.
